My wife and I are renting a single family dwelling where our name is on the lease with the property owner. We allowed a friend to move in with us afterwards who was having financial trouble. This person has now become a nuisance and has issued verbal threats to both my wife and I, and is contacting my employer trying to cause trouble. I have a temporary restraining order against this person but so far it has not stopped her from contacting my employer. I really do not want to involve my employer in this but I need to evict this person ASAP.

Tell her to leave; if she does not, contact the police. If she is not on a lease and not paying rent, she is a guest, not a tenant. A guest may only remain so long as she has permission. The actual tenants (you and your wife) may revoke that permission at any time. Once you revoke the permission, she has no right to stay there and the police should help you remove her, if necessary.
