Was cefazolin antibiotic necessary before a surgery, Was it supposed to be tested on the patient first if the patient is allergic to it?
My brother died of anaphylactic shock and cefazolin is the one that triggered it, he was asked if he had any allergies and he said no except for betadine. Aren’t doctors suppose to test any antibiotics first to the patient maybe in a form of tablet before any surgery especially if the patient hasn’t taken it before?

No, doctors are not required to rest antibiotics first, before administering them--that is not part of currently accepted or expected medical practice, which means that the failure to do so is not malpractice, because it is not unreasonably careless or negligent.
