What to do if we were in a car accident and my daughter was injured and is still under medical care but she has maxed their policy and the bills are not done yet?
The accident was about 1 1/2 years ago. I want to know if I can make a claim for pain and suffering for all the expenses and inconveniences that I have been dealing with since this happened.

If there was another driver who was at fault in causing the accident, you can sue him or her for any amounts--including pain and suffering or medical costs--not already paid by insurance or otherwise. However, if you had signed any settlement agreement(s), check them first--if those agreements stated you were giving up your right to sue for additional amounts, that is enforceable against you.
