What are the penalties for embezzelment/Felony Entrustment theft?

A 21 year old male was arrested for Felony Entrustment Theft.  It’s a first felony.  He worked for an auto parts store for 5 months approximately and $1,500.00 worth of merchandise was stolen. What is the chance of prison time, and how long could the sentence be? What are the worst and best scenarios for punishment?

Penalties vary based on the amount involved and the circumstances. But punishment can include up to 3 years of state prison per count.

One may be able to avoid jail time, or get less jail time, if they have no prior record or the amount stolen is not very high.
