What constitutes Adultery under new Jersey law

I have been talking on line
and recently by phone to a
woman I have never met in
person. Having been
separated from my spouse
who has attained counsel. I
recently learned she
intends to claim adultery.
When she ended the
marriage, she hired a
lawyer and she is no longer
intimate with me for over
90 days. What is the New
Jersey burden of proofs of
adultery.

Adultery is voluntary sexual conduct between a married person and someone else who is not his or her spouse. hat you describe would not be adultery, but would provide support for the claim that there are "irreconcilable differences"--a severe, permanent breakdown in the marital relationship--which also forms grounds for divorce.
