What happens if I can’t pay for a ticket?
I am a minor who was recently given a ticket for marijuana possession, I don’t have the money to pay for it, what should I do?

You should go and speak with your parents immediately. Yes, it will be tough, but after the initial yelling and screaming they will help. If you truly believe that they will not be helpful, then go and seek help from an adult that you trust who can step in to help with our parents and the matter. If you do not have the money to pay the fine then typically you will be thrown in jail unless some other deal can be made. What other deal? Perhaps community service? But I would also suggest that you seek legal help with all of this - which again will require money and an adult to help. You need some muscle here on your side. Or maybe just take your lumps and learn from this mistake. Good luck.
