What is a “Waiver of Notice?

I have been asked to sign a petition for substituted judgment to create a fund a revocable Trust and execute a pour-over Will and for authority to name beneficiary under the life insurance policy owned by the conservatee that was filed 2 months ago. This is on behalf of my aunt who is 92 years old.’

What you are being asked is to consent to the creation of the Trust and at the same time you are foregoing what would otherwise be your right to receive notice of the hearings, etc., and the executor's obligation to let you know.  Please go and speak with ana ttorney with the paper in hand before you sign.  Good luck.
