What state should I get a lawyer in?

I am a legal resident of Florida and I want to divorce my husband who is a
Michigan resident. We don’t live together but we own a house in Michigan. Should
I get a lawyer in Florida or Michigan to start divorce proceedings?

You can retain an attorney in the state in which either you or your husband legally resides. At this point, you should at least consult with a local attoreny who can best advise in which state it would be to your best advantage to file.
