What type of punishment will my 14 year old daughter get for filing a false report to police?

This is her first offense. She said a car hit her but when police saw video they said it didn’t.

Providing false details about an incident is a crime in California. She would be guilty of a misdemeanor.  I would strongly suggest that you seek consultation from a criminal attorney as soon as you can.  It is understandable that she lied because she was scared but it is not a defense.  Good luck.
