What will happen if I change my statement with the DA?

I am involved in a spousal abuse case as the victim. I need to change my statement I honestly don’t know if I was pushed or if I fell back when I was approached by him. What will happen if I tell the DA that the incident wasn’t true?

You can change your statement if you honestly feel that you may have provided incorrect information in it. However, since this is a domestic violence case, the police know that victim intimidation can take place by the alleged perpetrator. Accordingly, your case may still go forward if the prosecutor believes that there is enough other evidence to support a conviction.
