When a cop takes evidence from you, aren’t they supposed to give you a ticket stating what they took?
Someone was stopped and the detectives took pills, weed and coke from them but didn’t arrest them at the time. They didnt sign or receive anything listing what they took form them. Then 5 weeks later they arrested them for that.

Under the laws of all states in this country, when alleged contraband is seized by law enforcement, an inventory ticket is not required to be given to the person who had the items seized. Rather, the law enforcement person then creates an inventory report of the items seized in a police report.
