The driver who ran a red light and hit your car is at fault.
It would be advisable to contact his auto insurance company and file a claim for property damage (cost of repairs) to your car.
If the case is NOT settled with the at-fault driver's insurance company, file a lawsuit for negligence against the at-fault driver. Depending on the amount of damage to your car, you may be able to file your lawsuit in small claims court.
