Best to check with the Department of Education to be sure.  I am sure the level of conviction will play some role.  If your case is still pending, hire an attorney and fight the charges.  I have handled many marijuana cases where there was no criminal conviction and the charges were ultimately dismissed.  Fight the case with an experienced attorney.
