Your insurance company will deny your claim because your son was not on your policy and only had a permit.  Therefore, your insurance company will claim that your son was an "unauthorized driver" (not on your auto insurance policy).  You will be liable for the property damage to the barn, shed, and tractor since your son is a minor and I assume he was driving your car which means that you as the registered owner of the vehicle are liable.  If he wasn't driving your car, you are still liable as the parent of a minor.  Your liability would be negligence for the property damage caused in the auto accident.  You will most likely be sued by the property owner.
Depending on the amount of the property damage, if you can't afford to pay, you may want to consider filing bankruptcy when there is a court judgment against you.  Chapter 7 is straight liquidation which will eliminate that debt.
