No, there is no law regarding this. Absent an employment contract or union agreement to the contrary, an employee can be scheduled to work as their company deems appropriate. The fact is that most work is what is known as "at will". This means that an employer can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit, absent some form of legally actionable discrimination.
