Would I have to leave the country at all during the process of getting a green card?

I’m 26 years old and I have a DACA. I’m also in college, I have a 2 year old son and I can’t

afford to leave the country.

On what basis would you be applying for a green card?  There are several different routes to getting permanent residence and not all of them require you to be outside the US but you have not provided enough informaiton to determine what your path would be.
